About THE role
OVERVIEW:
Do you enjoy spending your day creating a safe and stimulating environment for young children? Are you able to follow and retain instructions, work as a team, as well as be self-motivated? Can you multitask? We are looking for an energetic, positive, teacher qualified person to join our team, in either the preschool or toddler rooms. Depending on where your qualifications are, will depend on which group of children you will be working with. All our staff help out with cooking, cleaning, and disinfecting the centers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain staff/child ratios
- Provide a safe positive environment for the group of children you are supervising.
- Follow the center's daily schedule.
- Prep and cook food as needed.
- Clean and disinfect center.
The position is full-time, and available for candidates with teaching qualifications. Teacher will work closely with center directors. Compensation is $15.00 or more DOE/per hour. The exact hours of the position may vary, but our centers are open Monday through Friday, 7AM to 5:30PM, year round - so please be flexible to work during those hours. Position will start with a 90-day trial period.

Requirements
At least one year of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center.
Enrolled in the Central Background Registry (CBR).
Hold current First Aid, AED, and CPR certifications.
Hold current Food Handler certification.
Completed “Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect” 2-Hour Training.
Ability to lift 30 to 50lbs, as needed.
Ability to get up and down off of the floor daily.
Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time, inside and outside.

Hello! We are Hey Diddle Diddle Learning Center ("HDD") and North Albany Learning Center ("NALC"). Our centers are certified by the Child Care Division (CCD) which includes yearly certification with the CCD, local health department, and the fire department. Together our staff has over 50 years of training and child care experience. We take pride in having long lasting relationships with our families. Many of our children start in our infant room and continue with us through preschool to Kindergarten. We enjoy being a part of a child's growth; developmentally, socially and physically.
